As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Potential authors of Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeri shall go through this author guidelines and the publication ethics before proceeding to the manuscript submission.

 

General Principles

  1. Any manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeri must be original, hasnot been published elsewhere, and is not currently under another publisher’s consideration.
  2. All authors must sign the Licence Transfer Agreement and submit it along with their manuscript to Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeri. By signing the agreement, the copyright is attributed to this journal to protect the intellectual material for the authors.
  3. All of the activities pertaining to article submission is conducted through the Open Journal System (OJS).
  4. All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeriwill be reviewed anonymously by peer-reviewers with specific expertise on the issue or perspective of the submitted
  5. Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeriwill not proceed with the submission subject to plagiarism issue and may reject the manuscript without further consideration if it is done intentionally (see Plagiarism Policy for further information).

 

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

  1. Articles in Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeriare published in Indonesian and English.
  2. The submitted article must meet the focus and scope of Jurnal Hubungan Luar Negeri.
  3. Author(s) must display their full name without titles or salutations.
  4. The manuscript must be in an A4 page layout, with normal margin and the standard typography of Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing (See our journal article template).
  5. The length of an article should be 6000-8000 words including bibliography. It should be sent in editable version of Microsoft Word (.Doc or .Docx).
  6. The Titleof the article should clearly describes the whole article and should not be longer than 14 words. It must be typed in Times New Roman 14-point font, and use uppercase on the initial letter of each main words.
  7. The Abstract should be a concise paragraph with no more than 250 words written in both Indonesian and English. It must include a brief introduction to the issue, methodology, and the summary of key finding with 3-6 keywords. The Keywords must represent field of expertise of the author, novelty, issues, and the tools of analysis.
  8. The Introductiondelivers the background of the issue, and helps the reader to get into the context of the article. The author must show the writing objective, significance and the novelty of the article.
  9. Literature Review shows the debate on the issue among previous findings and highlight the novelty of proposed perspective, or Analytical Framework helps to understand the issue and analyze them in specific viewpoint.
  10. Research Method describes how the research was conducted and explains the process of data collection and analysis profoundly.
  11. Result and Discussionelaborates and analyzes the data as a whole new information. The data gathered may be presented in figures, tables or diagrams, and followed by rigorous
  12. Conclusionsums up the whole discussion and highlight the key findings.
  13. Figures, Tables, or Diagramsmust be numbered and contain title. All of them must captioned and include the information whether it is an adaption from previously printed material, or the authors’ own works.
  14. Reference must be presented in alphabetically and chronologically order. It must be arranged in American Psychological Association (APA) style 6th The referred sources should be from the recent findings, published in the last ten years for books and the last five years for journal articles.
